One of the latest in the series of “Blackened portraits” presenting a unique style where the medium is led to flow in a style riddled with runes and arcane symbols.
Inspired by the currents of the Icelandic landscape, lava and rock formations predominantly, each painting becomes a picture of itself, or an “artefact” rather than mere image as a relief. A portrait may represent a specific personae and give the viewer a set expression or – sometimes – a lack thereof as the image is set to constantly change depending on lighting and position.
